Born in Buenos Aires, Claudio Segovia trained at the Manuel Belgrano School of Visual Arts, the Prilidiano Pueyrredón Academy and the Superior School Ernesto de la Cárcova.For more than 15 years, he worked as a set and costume designer in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Paris and then Madrid. In 1966, he created a series of shows collaborating with well-known artists. His first show, Baguala, with Mercedes Sosa, toured internationally to great acclaim.
In 1974, he settled in Europe and in 1980, created Flamenco Puro which premiered at the Theatre Lope de Vega in Seville. He also inaugurated a series of ambitious shows inspired by popular cultures. Read more …
